LNCQ Payment policy

New Policy as December 17, 2024 :

Payment for LNCQ retreats, workshops and special events are due at sign up or when an email notice is sent out.

For retreats the payment is due at the time that the email notice is sent asking for payment. Members can pay using PayPal (payment can be made by credit card using PayPal without signing into PayPal). For members who use checks, the checks must be received by the treasurer within 7 days of the email being sent out.

For workshops the payment is due when people sign up. Members can pay using PayPal (payment can be made by credit card using PayPal without signing into PayPal). For members who use checks, the checks must be received by the treasurer within 7 days of when the member indicates on the signup form saying they are paying by check.

When payment is not received in the 7 days the workshop/retreat spot will be opened up and the organizer will go to the next person on the Waiting List. The purpose of this policy is to ensure fairness so people on the Waiting List can get access to our programming. Prior to deleting a person from the registration list the organizer will reach out to the participant via email to see if the check was just tied up in the mail, or there is another logical explanation.

LNCQ Cancellation Policy

We would like to remind all of our members and inform our guests what the policy is for cancellations of pre-paid retreats, events and classes.

If you are not able to attend a pre-paid LNCQ event (e.g. bus trip, retreat, workshop), you must contact the event organizer who will then notify the people on the waiting list in order. This way, it is possible that you will receive a partial or complete refund from the person taking your place.

There will be NO refund given if:

You have to cancel for any reason after the registration date unless your spot is taken and paid for by someone else.
You have to leave the retreat, event or class for any reason.
You are a no show

We understand that there are always going to be times when the above happens. We would love to be able to give refunds. Unfortunately, the vendors hold LNCQ responsible for the entire cost and the League cannot afford to cover your fee. We need everyone to fully understand and accept these terms when registering and paying for a retreat, event, or class.

August 3 & 4 Workshop with Vicki Conley

When: August 3 – 8:30AM to 12:30PM

August 4 – 8AM-noon, 1PM-5PM

Where: Best Western

Fee: $120

In this class you will construct Vicki’s toadstool rock formation pattern to learn her turned- edge machine piecing and fussy piecing techniques. This is not applique but a method that can be used for bold landscapes or portraits.

Vicki uses Floriani Stitch and Wash Fusible tearaway stabilizer which is left in the final piece leaving it soft and stable.

September 14 Workshop with Beth Soderquist

When: September 14 10AM to 4:30 PM (one hour lunch break)

Where: Best Western

Workshop Leader: LNCQ's own Beth Soderquist

Cost: $35

Take the mystery out of perfect points in the fun, skill-building workshop! Students will create a beautiful table runner featuring 3 different star blocks while learning techniques that make quilt construction easier and more accurate. Along the way, you'll work with half-square and quarter-square triangles, four-at-a-time flying geese, setting triangles, and borders.

Beth Soderquist has been quilting since 1991. She founded the Delectable Mountain Quilt Guild in Routt/Moffat County in 1993, which is still very active. She taught quilting classes at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs and was inducted into the Colorado Quilt Guild in 1999. She is an active member of LNCQ having served in several board positions.

October 5 Workshop with Margaret Willingham

When: October 5, 9am-4pm; 1 hour lunch at 1pm

Where: Best Western

Workshop Leader: Margaret Willingham with Eye of the Beholder Quilt Designs

Cost: $55 + kit fee (see below)

Margaret will teach you her own non-traditional reverse applique method: Trace, Baste, Snip and Stitch for beautiful results. It's fun as well!

There is a kit fee for this workshop, which needs to be ordered from Eye of the Beholder website by September 5. Two options for kits: 1) Kit 2: Fabric and Pattern- $23. 2) Mola Magic Festive Bloom Kit (shown) $36.20.
